We are an organisation on mission with a preferential obligation with the poor and those who need us most. Given our need to serve the orphans, women and girls, youths and children, we are in need of short-term mission groups for in the following sections of our programs;

Education We need the groups to give our children a new front in exposure, knowledge, life skills and holistic growth. The groups will complete our school program and activities giving them exposure to the Kenyan curriculum. I have a piece of land that I want to donate to this initiative so that we can build a permanent learning institution (primary school) which will be a model school offering quality and holistic education.

Anti-Menstrual Stigma Campaign and anti-Female Genital Mutilation We have this program running across two counties in Kenya (Kisii and Nyamira). We have opportunities for mission groups to provide guidance and counseling services, support in the campaigns, enhancing program sustainability, sessions with the girl’s empowerment on negative effects of Female genital mutilation and provision of sanitary pads and cotton pants to the girls in the rural areas.

Religious Development We are a Christian founded organization in Catholic and therefore support and are involved in church development, evangelism and guidance and counseling. Our church outreach program has linkages with the local religious groups, churches and their leadership in Kenya and Christian Life Community an International lay organisation inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius Loyola. The mission will join our team in supporting local churches, communities and professionals in teaching them to be keepers of faith and also build their capacity to spread the word of God.

Medical Camps SWLL CBO has been involved in promotion of community health. This has been rolled out through awareness creation and sensitization of the communities on the need to observe hygiene, keeping fit and healthy eating. The CBO plans to have medical camps especially to offer guidance and counseling, lifestyle diseases and how they can be prevented, cancer awareness creation and need for testing and also HIV prevention and treatment especially among the youth. This is another area of partnerships.

Child Reintegration Program Our organization has been participating in the Changing the Way We care global initiative by the Catholic Relief Services and the Department of Children Services (Kenya) aimed at ensuring that children return or stay in safe and nurturing families. SWLL believes and supports family strengthening, preservation and protection since the family is the basic unit of the society and with a strong and caring family our generations are safe. A stable family is a fertile ground for spiritual development of children and economic development. SWLL has rolled out a program packaged with gate-keeping mechanisms and case management approaches aimed at ensuring that families thrive and happy, children in homes are assisted in tracing their families and return home. Our work force is lean but growing. The mission team can join us in this program which involves mostly social work at community level.
